🌟 Welcome to KU Mini-Stars Academy

Mini-Stars Academy is Katy United's beginner volleyball program for girls in Kindergarten–2nd grade. Through fun, age-appropriate instruction, players build coordination, confidence, teamwork, and a love for volleyball in a positive, encouraging environment. Whether she's brand new to sports or already loves to play, Mini-Stars is the perfect place to start.

⭐ Mini-Stars Academy (Monthly Membership)

Mini-Stars is offered through a convenient monthly membership, allowing players to learn, grow, and stay active while enjoying consistent training throughout the year.

🏐 Practice Time Information

• Tuesdays 5:30–6:30pm beginning August 11
• OR Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm beginning August 13
• Monthly Membership: $105
• Practice t-shirt provided to each player
• If you would rather attend both Tuesday and Thursday, please email SarahW@katyunited.com to be placed on a waiting list.

💳 Membership Information: Enrollment is through a recurring monthly membership. Your first payment is processed at registration, and future payments are automatically charged on the same date each month.

Memberships may be canceled at any time by emailing TiffanyD@katyunited.com. Future payments will stop after cancellation. Please review the Refund & Cancellation Policy below for complete details found below.

🎉 Holiday Breaks: Mini-Stars follows scheduled breaks during Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year's, and Spring Break. Optional holiday clinics and special events may be offered throughout the year. Membership fees are not prorated for scheduled holiday breaks.

🌟 Mini-Stars Evaluation Days: this day is to celebrate each player's growth and help determine when she's ready for the next level of training.

Just like moving up a level in gymnastics or earning a new belt in martial arts, evaluations recognize skill development while helping coaches place every player where she'll be most successful.

Each player receives a certificate celebrating her progress, and some may be invited to advance into Starlights Academy.

Our goal is never to cut players—it's simply to help every athlete continue growing with confidence.

🏅Mini-Stars is led by experienced, USAV-certified coaches who are passionate about creating a fun, safe, and encouraging first volleyball experience.

All coaches complete:

• SafeSport training
• Background checks
• Misconduct awareness education

Your child will learn in a positive environment where safety, confidence, and fun come first.

KU Starlights Academy & Mini-Stars Refund Policy

At Katy United, we understand that plans can change. To help us properly staff and plan for our programs, we have established the following refund policy:

• Cancellations made more than one week prior to the player's start date are eligible for a refund of the membership fee, minus a $50 administrative fee.

• Cancellations made within one week of the player's start date are NOT eligible for a refund of the membership fee.

• Parents may cancel their KU Starlights Academy or Mini-Stars membership at any time by notifying Tiffany Dagley in writing at TiffanyD@katyunited.com. Please ensure Tiffany responds a confirmation to you.

• Upon cancellation, all future auto-payments will be discontinued, and no additional charges will be processed.

• No refunds, credits, or prorated adjustments will be issued for previously billed membership payments, missed practices, or unused program participation.

• If Katy United is unable to hold a scheduled program due to unforeseen circumstances, Katy United will determine whether a makeup session, credit, or alternative accommodation will be provided.

This policy allows us to maintain appropriate staffing, facility scheduling, and program quality while providing flexibility for participating families.
