Starlights Academy (3rd-6th)

🌟 A Year-Round Monthly Volleyball Membership

KU Starlights Academy is a year-round volleyball development program for 3rd–6th grade girls of all experience levels. Weekly practices focus on volleyball skills, confidence, teamwork, and game knowledge in a fun, encouraging environment.

Whether your athlete is just getting started or hopes to play competitively one day, Starlights is the perfect next step.

Monthly Membership: $210

💳 How Monthly Membership Works

Your first month's membership is charged at registration. Future payments are automatically processed on the same date each month as your original registration date.

Memberships may be canceled at any time by emailing TiffanyD@katyunited.com. Once cancellation is confirmed, future automatic payments will stop.

🎉 Holiday Breaks

No regular practices are held during Thanksgiving week, Christmas/New Year's Break, or Spring Break. Optional clinics or special events may be offered during these breaks.

Membership fees are not prorated for scheduled holiday breaks.

🌟 Celebrate Progress. Find the Next Step

Like earning a new belt in martial arts or advancing a level in gymnastics, Starlights evaluations give players an opportunity to see their progress, celebrate new skills, and determine when they're ready for the next level.

Every player receives a Starlights Evaluation Certificate highlighting her development and accomplishments.

Our goal is not to "cut" players. It's to place each athlete in an environment where she can be challenged, build confidence, and continue developing.

🏐 Ready for More Competition?

Competitive Starlights gives athletes who are ready for more the opportunity to train twice a week, compete in tournaments, and experience being part of a competitive team.

Players interested in Competitive Starlights must attend an evaluation. Athletes who demonstrate readiness for the additional training, competition, and team commitment may receive an offer to join a Competitive Starlights team.

Competitive Starlights is primarily for 5th–6th graders, although exceptions may be made for younger athletes who demonstrate readiness.

Starlights players are coached by experienced, USAV-certified coaches committed to creating a safe, positive, and encouraging environment.

All coaches complete:

• SafeSport Training
• Background Checks
• Misconduct Awareness Education

KU Starlights Academy & Mini-Stars Refund Policy

At Katy United, we understand that plans can change. To help us properly staff and plan for our programs, we have established the following refund policy:

• Cancellations made more than one week prior to the player's start date are eligible for a refund of the membership fee, minus a $50 administrative fee.

• Cancellations made within one week of the player's start date are NOT eligible for a refund of the membership fee.

• Parents may cancel their KU Starlights Academy or Mini-Stars membership at any time by notifying Tiffany Dagley in writing at TiffanyD@katyunited.com. Please ensure Tiffany responds with confirmation of your cancellation.

• Upon cancellation, all future auto-payments will be discontinued, and no additional charges will be processed.

• No refunds, credits, or prorated adjustments will be issued for previously billed membership payments, missed practices, or unused program participation.

• If Katy United is unable to hold a scheduled program due to unforeseen circumstances, Katy United will determine whether a makeup session, credit, or alternative accommodation will be provided.

This policy allows us to maintain appropriate staffing, facility scheduling, and program quality while providing flexibility for participating families.
