From Mini-Stars Academy to Starlights Academy to Competitive Starlights, Katy United provides a developmental pathway designed to help players build confidence, learn the game, and continue growing their skills in a fun and encouraging environment
Whether your player is brand new to volleyball or ready for a more competitive experience, KU Starlights provides a positive, encouraging environment where players can learn, grow, and develop a lifelong love for the game.
KU MIni-Stars Academy (K-2nd)
KU MINI-STARS ACADEMY (monthly membership)
Mini-Stars is Katy United’s introductory volleyball program for kindergarten–2nd grade. Through fun, high-energy activities and age-appropriate instruction, players develop coordination, movement skills, teamwork, confidence, and a love for the game. Our goal is to create a positive first sports experience while introducing the fundamentals of volleyball in an exciting and encouraging environment.

Whether your child is brand new to sports or trying volleyball for the first time, Mini-Stars provides a fun, positive environment where players can learn, build confidence, make friends, and develop a love for the game.

Practices begin Tuesday, August 11
KU Mini-Stars (K–2nd Grade)
- Tuesdays | 5:30–6:30 PM | Starting Aug 11
- Monthly Membership: $105
- Practice t-shirt will be given to each player
Developmental Scrimmages Dates
TBA
Schedule Notice: No practices will be held during Thanksgiving week, Christmas/New Year's Break, or Spring Break. To make up for these holiday breaks, an additional Thursday practice will be scheduled either the week before or the week after the holiday. Make-up dates will be announced in advance and are considered regular program dates. No credits or refunds will be issued for missed make-up practices.

MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP DETAILS
Enrollment in Mini-Stars Academy and KU Starlights Academy is offered through a recurring monthly membership. Upon registration, your first month's membership fee will be charged immediately. Future membership payments will be automatically processed on the same day of each month as your original registration date. Families may cancel their membership at any time by providing written notice. Upon cancellation, future auto-payments will be discontinued and no additional charges will be processed. Experienced Coaching You Can Trust
At Katy United, Mini-Stars athletes are coached by trained, experienced, and USAV-certified coaches who are passionate about teaching the game and creating a positive experience for young athletes.
All coaches complete:
- SafeSport training
- Background checks
- Misconduct awareness education
This allows families to feel confident knowing their athletes are learning in a safe, structured, and supportive environment while parents can relax and enjoy watching their athletes learn, grow, and build confidence on the court.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
KU Starlights Academy & Mini-Stars Refund Policy
At Katy United, we understand that plans can change. To help us properly staff and plan for our programs, we have established the following refund policy:
• Cancellations made more than one week prior to the player's start date are eligible for a refund of the membership fee, minus a $50 administrative fee.
• Cancellations made within one week of the player's start date are NOT eligible for a refund of the membership fee.
• Parents may cancel their KU Starlights Academy or Mini-Stars membership at any time by notifying Tiffany Dagley in writing at TiffanyD@katyunited.com
• Upon cancellation, all future auto-payments will be discontinued, and no additional charges will be processed.
• No refunds, credits, or prorated adjustments will be issued for previously billed membership payments, missed practices, or unused program participation.
• If Katy United is unable to hold a scheduled program due to unforeseen circumstances, Katy United will determine whether a makeup session, credit, or alternative accommodation will be provided.
This policy allows us to maintain appropriate staffing, facility scheduling, and program quality while providing flexibility for participating families.
