Join the Starlights – Where Passion Meets Play!
Katy United Starlights is a fun and encouraging volleyball development program for girls in 3rd–6th grade (ages 8–12). Whether your athlete is brand new to volleyball or continuing to grow her skills, KU Starlights focuses on building confidence, teaching fundamentals, and helping players develop a love for the game in a positive team environment.
With volleyball becoming increasingly popular and competitive in the Katy area, KU Starlights helps athletes build a strong foundation through structured coaching, skill development, and age-appropriate game play opportunities, all while keeping the experience fun and engaging.

KU Starlights Summer Sessions are designed to help young athletes build confidence, develop volleyball fundamentals, and stay active in a fun and encouraging environment throughout the summer. With training geared towards agility, skill development and game play experience, our summer programming is perfect for beginners and returning players looking to continue growing their love for the game.

Perfect for beginners and returning athletes alike, teaching and reinforcing the fundamentals of volleyball in a fun, encouraging, and high-energy environment.This session is designed to help athletes gain confidence, improve their skills, and build a strong volleyball foundation while keeping the experience positive and engaging.

Athletes will participate in:
- Advanced skill training
- Team drills

- Competition simulations

Monday practices focus on skill development, while Wednesday sessions help athletes gain confidence through structured game play and competition-based learning.
This session is a great next step for athletes interested in growing their understanding of the game in a fun and supportive environment.

Experienced Coaching You Can Trust
At Katy United, Starlight athletes are coached by trained, experienced, and USAV-certified coaches who are passionate about teaching the game and creating a positive experience for young athletes.
All coaches complete:
- SafeSport training
- Background checks
- Misconduct awareness education
This allows families to feel confident knowing their athletes are learning in a safe, structured, and supportive environment while parents can relax and enjoy watching their athletes learn, grow, and build confidence on the court.

Exciting Growth Coming to KU Starlights for 2026–2027
Katy United Starlights is continuing to grow! For the upcoming Fall 2026–Spring 2027 season, we are planning expanded training opportunities designed to better support athletes at different stages of their volleyball journey.

- Flexible developmental options for beginners and multi-sport athletes
- More structured competitive opportunities for athletes ready for increased training and game play
- Consistent coaching and team development
- Scrimmages and local tournament opportunities
- Age-appropriate training focused on confidence, fundamentals, and FUN
